These tips are about recruiting talent, not about recruiting top talent on a budget.

Like nderground mentioned a hard take on inclusive hiring will do miracles, but if we take a step back this mayonnaise of “on a budget” and “women and older people” is terrible and just as hard to swallow. I mean, it sounds as using the shitty system of underpaying some people because they’re the wrong sex or age.

In Yoda speak: top talent on a budget you can only hire if one of you do :

  • make people believe in future material reward
  • make people believe as hard as you do in your mission

That’s about it.

Anything else is a just attempt at fishing the big fish with just as many odds as any other fisher with the same tools you own.
