I support this 100% out of personal experience without being in any kind of minority, but in the best part of the majority in all aspects.

Belonging is crucial. In fact, being in a minority brings about a lot more default belonging than the majority membership’s privilege affords.

In fact I’d even go as far as to say that majorities are far more exclusionary towards their members and the circles of trust are far weaker and more frail than the ones found in minority communities.

Speculation, that is.

Anecdotally economic class groups do conform to this model.
