I am not sure I have such a strategy. I read many pieces from The Mission. I even assassinated them with some submissions, while they were open. So don’t get me wrong here, I understand where the immediate value of this business is.

My problem is that I don’t understand what am I paying for? Did they just make a paywall and now they became a competitor for other e-zines?

That’s it? Well then ... :) crap.

And Medium was a green pasture not too long ago. Sure in internet time it is an eon, but still, this is what will happen next to all current green pastures: “longtailisation” :)

However not all places where you could publish have the mission and vision which Medium touted, and it irks me when you see values used solely for better bid price at the time of exit.

And in all honesty, I don’t complain about Medium. I mean let’s be serious, I work as a product manager in software development. To key people threads like this don’t exist, or are “aggregated” in some stats. Complaining about an internet software is the definition of useless.

They’re trying, I know they are.

I am merely describing my experience being here part of this community, which is just another story …

I write so you feel like you’ve just had an idea. It’s a nice feeling.
